About AIPAC & Democratic Primaries

AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) significantly expanded its independent electoral operations beginning in 2022 through its PAC, United Democracy Project, and affiliated bundlers. In that cycle, AIPAC spent over $14 million targeting progressive Democrats in primaries, successfully defeating several incumbents.

In 2024, AIPAC PAC spending in Democratic primaries exceeded $25 million, making it one of the most consequential single-issue PACs in intraparty elections. The 2026 cycle is expected to see continued significant spending as the conflict in Gaza remains a central foreign policy issue for Democratic voters.

  • AIPAC PAC is legally required to disclose contributions to the FEC
  • Independent expenditure campaigns are separately disclosed
  • Bundled contributions from AIPAC-affiliated donors often exceed direct PAC limits
